Ever wondered where all the professionals go to mix and mingle? Each month, both the New York Mental Health Counseling Association (NYMHCA) and the New York State Psychological Association (NYSPA) put on a wide variety of events, from educational speakers to brunches to happy hours, in order to keep professionals within the mental health and psychological fields up-to-date and networking. While they do have memberships available, many of their events offer student pricing to attend.

The Power of Power: Psychoanalytic Perspectives on Uses and Abuses

New York Mental Health Counselor Association: Exploring Innovative Approaches in Counseling and Counselor Education
Where: Albany, NY
Who: Hosted by NYMHCA
What: Students have the opportunity to attend and learn about new innovations within the mental health counseling society within the state of New York. Until February 20th, students can volunteer to help out during the conference and receive free hotel and registration.
